hi John, i love the new power indicator on the top left. Could you make the font color according to the direction, green when charging, red when discharging. Greetings Joerg

Hi John, Running the DMD2 Beta and just installed the Carpe ADV controller. Generally loving it, and definitely loving DMD2. I do have one question/issue? When I use the joystick to pan in map mode I have no idea how to return to regular mode (i.e. regular view centered on my location) In ‘regular’ map centered view I can use the top button (Enter) to toggle from Follow Me to North UP, etc. However once I enter pan mode, the enter key instantly brings up the ‘Long Press on Map’ dialog and there is no way to get back to regular map mode. I’m guessing there is a key press sequence to get out of panning mode but I can’t seem to figure it out. Thanks

I have exactly the same problem but it may be user error that I do not know how to get around it or it could be an issue with the Adventure Controller

Would love to know the answer to that as well

After you enter the “panning mode” to disable just long press the last button in the controller (bottom button), long press the minus button is always “BACK or EXIT” You can disable panning mode in the Map Settings (cog wheel in the top right corner in the map), just click on “Disable Panning Mode Target”

Thanks John. Really appreciate all your work. App is amazing and getting better by the day.

DMD2 2.99931 Samsung Tab Active 3 No GPS fix I use DMD2 in daily riding and a couple of times per week DMD2 does not get GPS fix. This has happened with previous versions as well. Use case: Start the DMD2 application and even if I drive 10 km, DMD2 shows “No Fix” and the speed shows zero. ODB2 reading and ADV controller work. If I close DMD2 and restart DMD2 application => no GPS with DMD2 If I close DMD2 and open Google Maps => GPS fix ok immediately with Google Maps. When I close Google Maps and open DMD2 => GPS fix ok immediately with DMD2 also. So, sometimes GPS fix must be applied by opening Google Maps first.

I am experiencing this issue as well.

General consensus is that Android is terrible at managing SD card storage. There seem to be a number of issues around trying to use it. The recommendation has been to simply not use it. This seems to be an android issue, not a DMD2 issue.

Don’t know if this was already mentioned here before, but when I share my internet connection from my mobile phone (bluetooth tethering) to DMD2 (beta 2.99926) on an Android tablet, DMD2 shows “offline”. I can search addresses online in DMD2 and use other online apps.

It was working for me before. I’ll have to try after the update.

      Great stuff….

The nav box still doesn’t go away after pressing ‘Options->Finish’

Tested 2.99921 still the Same Bugs. The navigate Box remains after clicking Finish. The Calculation in my Carpe Iter for a 350 km track with 3 pois clicked needs about 10 minutes

I have this issue too. Clicking ‘Finish’ does not clear the nav box.

I really hope someone can answer this. It really limits the use of the controller. The biggest reason I got it was to be able to use the map without having to stop.

Ok, Figured it out on my own. To exit the map pan mode is a long press on the [-] or zoom out button. Takes you back to the regular map mode. This is actually an obvious functionality as that is how to back out of any other screen. I just got too complicated in my thinking.
