Holly crap man, you actually wasted time doing that to explain it to me???!!! I mean thank you a lot, thats a lot of dedication… but in all honesty, you actually think such feature would not be available? Thats planned almost since the first mock we did The information you have on the left side box in the map view will OBVIOUSLY be also available as a widget Now, here is what im thinking, currently we have two left side boxes: – Track Progress – when you are on a GPX track – Nav Progress – when you are navigating a planned route My idea is to make a widget like “Nav & GPX Info” which, when you are on the GPX Track will show you the gpx progress information (with distances to next waypoints or POIs) and when you are on a planned route it will show you the Nav Progress info. So its one widget that covers two scenarios. This is all easy and fun, the real problem will come later, when you have stuff like “instructions for gpx tracks” so now on the left side of the screen I need to find room for the current information PLUS instructions. Same for when I add support for GPX ROUTES which although are GPX Files and should be managed in the GPX Manager they get converted to calculated routes so they have instructions too… not only I need to find solutions for the info but also adapt the gpx manager layout and code to deal with GPX Routes…. its a nightmare!

🙂 Good to know! I was born as developper..so I like this kind of stuff…. And I like this project. because I realy use it!!
It`s a very usefull APP and it will become even more…usefull

Me too on my Lenovo M7 Tab.
yesterday evening was OK, This morning once you click the icon it crash….

I try also with my phone and got the same problem, deleting casch data or reinstall the beta app from zero is not a solution, same error!

I have a question actually there is a way to create a route with more then one way point?
Or for the moment there is just the possibilities to navigate to a specific point?

For the rest all the othe features I tring them without any problem.

I just notice some times turn by turn tell you to turn into road that are for residence only.
I`m in switzerland, if you need I can give you an example.

Hello John,
Today I was trying navigation instruction, and the DMD2 suggest me a road, i take a different one, and DMD try to recalculate, but after few second stop the navigation and it remain only the map.
I will try again in order to understand if was an isolated case or if it happened in same specific case.

QUESTION
If you have a GPX loaded you have 2 options: Navigate to START or to END, are you working also in the option to NAVIGATE following the GPX without any calculation?
An in case you go out of the track recalculation must bring you back to the track.

I`m organizing a trip up to Nordkap and I have created GPX for all the different Days… would be great to have the turn-by-turn indication in order to follow the track we have decide the take.
Just follow the line on the MAP, if you are on normal road following a long trip (300-500 Km) could be difficult if you have lots of direction change.

I have 1 question and 1 issue.

Is it possible to load a gpx and get turn by turn indication?

The issue is about the road calculation. Is fast and it calcolate a good tout by some Times it takes secondary road to save couple of meters and don’t use the main road.

There is no importance classification of the different road?

Test on the last Beta version are running every day.

I notice that if you have ODB connected if you are following a track you will get under the progress bar the estimate left time to the last point.
This is very good, but I notice that not always this value came up.

If ODB is not connect there is no time
If is connected some time you have to move between MAPS, Home and ODB in order to get the value…

Probabily there are some condition that make the value visible or not…. do you have the same issue?

Hello John I`m doing some test, and with new version all is fine… also ODB now is working.
It will be nice to have the next poi and next Waypoint accessible also in the Home Page.
Like having the Map widget on the right and the next destination on the left.
In this way you can have maps and Speed and all the other data under controll in a singol page.

What about turn by turn navigation on the GPX when we can test it?

I have a feature proposal for DMD2, testing it without ODB connection for the previous reported bug, that when you have Bluetooth on, GPS info doesn’t work.

Will be nice if in state of the RPM graph we can have the speed meter graph with the possibilities to set a limit value and the colour of speed and graph will change according to that.
It is useful on normal road to keep speed under control according to the speed limit.

Today first test on street, I have a Lenove M7 tablet and I notice that with Bluetooth active the app cant get GPS information, if a switch off  Bluetooth DMD2 start to get GPS postion.

Is very clear using the GPS debug… when Bluetooth  is on everithing in 0.00 if you switch off then the GPS information came out…

I activate the Bluetooth  becouse I wes tring to get information from ODB2….
