Please use this post for questions and suggestions about DMD2 development.
Can also be used for bug reports, although, if needed, some bugs we will move to new thread for further discussion.

Installing DMD2:
– Go to Google Play Store and search for DMD2, install it, done.

For non Play Store devices:

– Download latest apk and install manually, click here to download (will always download latest)
– App will auto update itself on start

Change Log:

DMD2 – 3.00044 – 3.00045:
– Fixed some cases where controller actions would crash due to no selection on lists/grids
– Fixed correct list / grid controller actions when wired controller mode -> lots of dialogs are pending controller implementation
– Added a bad GPX case where the GPX is thousands of waypoint (instead of track points)
– Improved track point / navigation progress detection
– Fixed a case where some Auto POI categories would not load
– Improved app close speed / cleanup
– 3D Buildings now show at lower zooms
– 3D Buildings shadows now sync with current time

– OBD – Smoother RPM value display
– Improved License Check on first app run (no longer requires restart)
– Map View – Map Long Press dialog improved dialog and added “Save Location”

– WunderLINQ implementation – Possible fix for RPM and Speed -> not tested

DMD2 – 3.00031:
– New ultra sexy indicator for “away from track” which draws a line from your position to the closest track point
– Map theme changes to show roads names on some tracks/paths -> Topo only, dark style pending revision
– Compass widget with new colour “N”
– Initial WonderLINQ Motorcycle data API implementation: OBD View Settings options -> Includes RPM, Voltage, Engine Temp, Throttle Body Position, Speed, Fuel Level, more sensors coming soon like Gear and TPMS

DMD2 – 3.00029 & 30:
– Road names will not use Google Geocoder on devices without Play Store
– New widget indicator “Compass Cardinal” with text cardinals
– DMD-T devices setting in Global Settings to choose “Run while screen is off – enable / disable”
– Added exit dialog with option to fully exit app or send it to background
– Fixed a case where the insert coordinates dialog would not go be closed when exiting the map
– Improved some dialogs to respond to controller exit (long press B)
– Map Progress widget now shows road name
– Map Progress widget and Speed widget – If progress widget is visible in panels the speed widget will not show navigation instructions
– Removed progress bars from OBD indicators

DMD2 – 3.00027 / 28:
– Improved Goole Maps URL sharing with reverse Geocode
– Map view now shows current road name – you can disable in map settings
– DMD2 can now be closed by BUTTONS app -> future DMD-T devices FW update
– DMD2 will now check for background location permission on DMD-T devices
– Other small improvements

DMD2 – 3.00025/6:
– Fixed a crash where GPX Track segments without points would cause app issues (although these should never exists they are a thing)
– Fixed a case of app crash when user inserts numbers in settings which are text only, now properly validates
– Added support for opening Google Maps URL types

DMD2 – 3.00024:
– GPX Progress Window: You can now click on Auto POI icons to view more info
– Greatly increased GPX Load speed
– Greatly increased GPX Auto-POI speed

DMD2 – 3.00023:
– Route Calculation can now do matches to closest available road in case point is too far from roads
– Route Re-Calculation now increases matching ranges automatically
– Improved the recalculation feature for both single destination and GPX to Calculated Route conversion
– Calculation speed should be improved
– Fixed a case where on previous version when GPX to Route conversion failed instead of error dialog it would calculate to last valid destination

DMD2 – 3.00022:
– Fixed a case where Odo view would not trigger dialog on long press when loaded in first slot of the GPS/OBD widget
– Large GPX files import improvements
– GPX direction reversion for Routes
– Other improvements and optimisations

DMD2 – 3.00021:
– DMD2 now responds to SOS messages from new (soon to be released) DMD-T devices SOS system
– DMD2 recorder / trip / etc now works with screen off -> only for DMD-T devices – other devices pending Background Location permission at Google Play Store
– Optimised POI search/database – Might require pending map updates on some countries
– Minor UI improvements
– Fixed a case where first run – default configurations for map related settings (track width, track arrow, scaling, etc) was not being applied on phone type devices
– Updated translations
– Other minor fixes and improvements

DMD2 – v3.00020:
– GPX Recording now generates files compatible with Garmin Basecamp
– When map is now on your current location tapping the Follow Location will now keep its state and center to your location first, on next tap it resumes to usual behaviour of cycling through the Follow Location modes
– Fixed a case where Auto-Zoom / Auto-Tilt was not working
– Fixed a case where you could not share files when using SD Card on DMD-T series devices
– Many improvements to the Router and better error catching and error dialog presentation
– Odometer value updated on app start fix

DMD2 – v3.00019:
– Added Checks for map NEVER to try to be animated post invalid zoom levels
– Finally added code to check and report on GPX files that could not be loaded (no more stuck loading and probably no more load crashes) -> also shows error dialog to report to user
– Same as GPX Load check but for badly / problematic calculated routes
– Map Resume Position is now only done once map animator is ready
– Fixed cases where GPX Progress and Navigation progress could not be correctly resumed
– Fixed a case where deleting a GPX could hang the app
– Fixed a case where Tilt value was not being saved/restored
– Other fixes and improvements

Map View: When locked the widgets will use the full available height (including the space for the hide/show widgets)
Map View: Portrait Layout ONLY – Auto POIs now reduced to displaying only 2 – to increase sizes for texts, was too small
Controllers: Remote1 2-Way Switch Zoom is now inverted (its more intuitive)
All: Top Status Bar: Tap on it hides/shows bottom menu
