Garmin, as many others, uses the AMP pattern.

edit: The good thing with T895 holder (for what I see on pictures) is AMP pattern (wich is a rectangle) can be use in both orientation.

Tablet now received, installation planned on next weekend.

I installed in the past few roadbook reader, gps, ICO,… on different bikes. the usual issue is to get enough room to put it where you want in the position you want

Could be worse with a tablet and in this case I wonder if the windshield will be protective enough. pretty narrow windshiel for what I remember, will this  be a trouble source?
My friend just called me, the T865 is not wider than the Touratech roadbook reader he has (maybe few mm, that’s it), so , looks like it will be easy.

    Regular, I mean ordinary.
Compare to the R/G Amp Adapter which can be shifted on one axle (you can used both orientation on the T865 holder). Better safe than sorry, we ordered this one to be prepared

Order done, we’ll see with the products in hands, I’m confident we’ll handle it, just hope about the time being enough before the ride.

Back to your comment, shortly, to be sure I understand:

We can add wp (txt format), we can load WP (gpx file from elsewhere), but there’s no way, from DMD2, to have a WP added to an existing gpx file, correct ? (I tested Merging GPX option but it is not enough)

eg: organisation give me the track of the day and before leaving I want to monitor the important points I decided, same idea as a manual comment on a roadbook sheet.

    Maybe available in the Beta?

Thanks and Bravo for the work

.../...You can load additional POIs by going to GPX – SETTINGS – Additional POI, this will make DMD2 load the selected POIs categories along the track. Everything is calculated ALONG THE TRACK. And yes, a Waypoint must be inside the same GPX which DMD2 will target the active one once you are on top of any of its tracks.

Sorry, I don’t find the menu you are speaking about, Is this because of the version I have (2.77)?

Well, I guess it is simple, the WP must be in the same gpx file.
I’ll search for a way to put a new wp in the same gpx, only using the tablet/phone (via DMD2 preferably)

    Hello,

Being able to switch to Trip or RB or both could be usefull (In my case I don’t need the trip and I’d like to have a larger RB view)
