I’ve just switched to the beta versions of the DMD2. The apps is really nicer than the “production” version – I love where the de3volpment is going.

But the GPX recorder is missing – and I loved this feature.

Can you advice what kind of app I can use in the meantime?

I wolut love to don’t have to think about it – just turn on the tablet and it’s always recording my move.

I am using GPS logger. Simple, fast, very resources friendly. Works perfectly with BETA, so good that I don’t even miss gpx recording from production ver.

Also, free 🙂 (GPS logger). Hope it helps.

I am also looking for a (temporary) solution to record track.

Thanks for this suggestion! Is it this one:

    https://gpslogger.app/

    ?

Actually, can you tell me how are you using GPS logger with DMD2?

I installed it and tried to find a widget to add to DMD2 home screen but couldn’t find one…

Or have you maybe found a way to automatically start the recording?

Sorry for the late response… Anyway, I use GPS logger for many years now, as tiny and VERY robust app for gpx recording. With dmd2 I just add GPS recorder as app icon on the home screen, with other icons for apps I frequently use.

It would be better that gps logger has its widget, I agree. But, simple icon is quite ok, too.

    Thanks for your reply.

I am sure it will be ok like this until recording is added to beta.

    Hello,

thanks for the tip – I used it today and ran into one problem.

All recorded time in the GPX export is in UTC. I need the export in Local Time.

Is there any option for this?
