Can someone tell me how I can create a track (without routing) and place a few waypoints at certain locations on it?
I’ve tried using “Myroute App”, “Kurviger”, the “DMD2 GPX Editor” and a few other programs – I just can’t get it to work.
I´ve tried with gpx 1.0, gpx 1.1 (routes, tracks, POIS), gpx 1.1 (tracks, POIS), gpx 1.2 (routes, tracks, POIS.
I just can’t get it right – which is actually rare, because I always dig into a topic until it works.
SOS – I want to go on a 4000 km trip next Sunday.

Multi point and multi route profile is something that we are currently working for DMD2.

Buy Me a CoffeeI’ve asked several times on Discord for access to the beta version of the new Web Route Planner, but I still haven’t received the required code for ADVHub. It’s really disappointing because I have to use two different programs to use my planned tracks correctly and effectively on my DMD2 tablet. It’s really sad, because I actually really like the DMD2 tablet with the Remote2 controller and the DMD2 software.
I’m guessing, when you say “create a track (without routing) and place a few waypoints at certain locations on it”, you’re not wanting the track to route to them, like a “Route” would. Tracks use a long list of coordinates to draw a line on the map. Routes use “waypoints” to draw a line from waypoint to waypoint. In the case of a track, a “waypoint” is more like a “point of interest”. An overlook, a historical marker, waterfalls, hot springs, etc
I typically add those as I’m making the track in whatever program I’m using to do that, so they’re a part of the GPX file. I give each POI a custom icon and a label saying what it is. Both are displayed on the DMD map when I load the track.
Haven’t seen a way to do that in DMD, placing points along the track on-the-fly that you’d like to check out, after the track is imported to the device.
