On my Samsung (Galaxy S21 Ultra, Android 13) the battery Indicator (left hand side of the top status bar) shows the charging symbol when charging using the USB cable but not when the wireless charger is active (the operating system dialogs show that the battery is charging though and the device actually charges, I double-checked that…)
