Hey everyone,
We’re now 56 members strong here in the MyRoute-app group on DMD! 🎉
I’m curious: how do you use MRA on your DMD device?
Do you mainly use it for commuting or for touring?
Do you plan your own routes, or download them from others?
Any tips, tricks, or settings you just couldn’t live without?📸 Bonus: Feel free to share a photo of your DMD setup on your bike, or of a great route you recently rode.
The more experiences and ideas we share, the more valuable this group becomes for everyone. 🏍️💨

For me (with glases), it was a game changer, to use a bigger screen for navigation! T865-X, based on Android is genius! I love the comfort of extra (spoken) information on each WP in MyRoute-App! But I also love the colour coded offroad maps of DMD2! An it’s wonderful: both apps can navigate by a track!

I don’t know if this is a usage issue or a bug. While riding in map mode, the screen will randomly stop updating my position and revert to a sort of global map with no position indicated. At that point the map freezes and no longer moves with my position.
If I push the bottom button on the remote (DMD Remote 2), the screen refreshes and once again shows my current location on the map. I know that it’s not loosing GPS signal, since my speed continues to update. While not a big problem, it just seems weird that it would stop for no apparent reason.

What device is it?
What follow location mode are you using?
Please read this and check if related: https://docs.dmdnavigation.com/faq/68220d92ec2ae5f4370355e2/-
Hi, it’s a T865X. The FAQ you suggested is close but not what the problem is. The device is in one of the normal follow modes, the position is updating, there is a GPS fix, but the system just stops following. The GPS indicator is green and the elevation continues to update, but not my position on the map (the position icon disappears and the map stops moving with my location).
But, pressing the lower button on the remote forces a refresh of the screen, and it once again shows my position on the map. All the other features continue to work as usual. -

I use MRA web for planning of the GPX file and MRA Nav via DMD for nav so that I can take advantage of the notes read-back feature in MRA Navigation App for reminders of required ETA progress etc to meet the Distance Riders timetable for the route, 1600km in 24 hours. I then have the track in DMD to keep me compliant with the routes spec. and have all the extra features that the DMD dashboard has. MRA runs in the background and still talks to me. As does WAZE with cop and hazards info.
