Unfortunately on the KTM 690 you cant get the Gear sensor reading over OBD.

As a workaround, I could create another Bluetooth device reading the sensor data from the analog Voltage.

Would it be possible to create a gear sensor data point inside DMD2 reading from a second BT device?

It could be either translated into acutal gears by the BT device itself or DMD2 onboard. I am hapy to build a prototype of the BT gear sensor.
