Hello everyone. Alaskan here. Completed North to South in the Americas that took way too long. Headed back North in most random route possible. Excited to start using the DMD and not the Garmin junk. Anyone on here in South America right now? In southern Chile.

Hi Guys
I have T865X. On the sd card there are lots of mp3 files. When I play them after a couple of minutes the Music stops. It diesn’t matter if there’s an navigation app running or not. Any thoughts1 Comment -

I have a new D865X on order and it should be here sometime next week. I’ll be mounting it on my BMW R1300GS. I found out something that should be of interest to MRA users. The map that DMD2 uses is Andromap, and the underlying base map in Andromap is OpenStreetMap. See the Andromap licensing agreements here that shows the use of OpenStreetMap.
“https://www.openandromaps.org/lizenzen”So instead of leaving my default set to the HERE/Garmin map I’ll be changing it to OSM. I was disappointed trying to use the MRA iOS app with Apple Carplay and a Chigee device as the functionality was very limited IMO, so I’m really looking forward to still using the MRA planner (which is the best there is IMO) with the D865 and the DMD2 app.

Hi, I was curious about how the D865X performs on your BMW R1300GS. Is it what you expected? I was also wondering: do you only use MyRoute-app for planning routes, or do you also use the navigation app from MyRoute-app on the D865X? How does that work for you in practice?

Hey Bart – I finally just got it mounted yesterday. I have done a lot of testing of both the DMD app and MyRouteApp though. The DMD app would be fantastic for offroad riding following a track as that’s what it was designed for, however MRA is far superior for on road ridiing with routes that include via points with points of interest and other stops. According to DMD’s lead developer in another one of my recent posts “DMD doesn’t do routes”. Bottom line is that I’ll use both for different purposes. The hardware is fantastic!

Hallo,
Ik overweeg om een T865X te kopen en vraag mij eigenlijk af hoe jullie telefoon en headset koppelen aan de T865X.
Is dat op dezelfde manier als op de XT2 beide verbonden met de XT2 of headset gekoppeld aan de telefoon en dan de telefoon gekoppeld aan de T856X.

Daar ben ik nog net niet. Ik heb een verkeerde mount besteld dus de T865x staat nog niet op mijn GS.Hangt er een beetje vanaf waar je prio voor de headset ligt, denk ik,
Ik dacht mijn headset voorlopig aan mijn telefoon te houden. Op zich hoef ik geen GPS instructies te horen, maar ik luister wel naar mijn Spotify lijst en neem occasioneel calls op.
Ik heb geen simkaart in de T865x, heb altijd een hotspot op mijn iPhone en zo is de T865x online.Als ik de Spotify echter zo kan beluisteren via mijn T865x en mijn calls kunnen ook doorrouten, dan zou het wel kunnen dat ik overschakel omdat het mss wel gemakkelijker te bedienen is. (Ik heb ook nog geen remote gekocht)

Ik had deze besteld :
maar mijn BMW GS1200 Adv van 2011 heeft een 17mm bar aan het windscreen. Dus deze kan er niet rond.-

de tablet koppelen aan de headset zoals een gsm ( ik gebruik een sim-kaart in de tablet ) dus als ik met de moto rijd , ben ik bereikbaar .
