I own a 2024 KTM 500 EXC-F and am using the Taco Motor Get SX1 Pro ECU by Athena which transmits the OBD2 data via WIFi and not through Bluetooth. Is there any to use the WIFi data for the engine monitoring on the T-865x.
I own the white and blue version of the same bike, and building it with Taco Folks now. As I understand it, the answer to your question is no. I can’t imagine why in 2025 Athena is using Wifi instead of BT, but here we are. Additionally, the Wifi choice creates more problems than it solves…
I sent Athena USA an email asking about it, as well as requesting they add BT given the world of other features that would open up (like reading their data in DMD).
FWIW, the Facebook group for DMD is very active, but this forum seems like a ghost town.
Thank you for your feedback. It is starting to look like I will need to get a 3rd party OBD dongle if I want to get the engine data for the DMD. Will the ECU send the data out on the likes of the OBDLink LX OBD2 dongle which then can be read by my DMD?
