USB Charging T665.

I have a T665 and a « heavy duty mount » on my Sherco 300 SEF.

I was wondering if I could connect the cradle  via the USB cable directly to my USB 12v charger? I am asking because it looks like the Power Supply that comes with the phone includes a 12v to 5v converter and I am not sure if I can connect directly the cradle to a 12v source.

Alternatively, can I connect the T665 phone directly to the 12v usb charger (I.e. cable from the phone to USB charger port, without going through the cradle)?

I am looking for a solution because my T665 does not charge on my cradle via the Power Supply (wiring post ignition is ok, fuses are ok, green and red cables joined together, but phone does not charge…)

The T665 charges at 5V.
You can connect the phone’s charging cradle directly to a USB port using the appropriate cable.
You can also charge the T665 by connecting it directly to the phone’s USB-C port.

Vibration may cause the cradle pins to not make good contact with the phone. This has happened to me with previous charging cradles.
