    Hi all,

Recently purchaced a 665 DMD phone and so far pretty happy with the product!

Yesterday upon starting up the device, it asked for an update (not sure for what) and after accepting it seems not to have done the update properly. When starting up the device after the update the home screen continues to switch on and off until eventually it gives the following message:

When pressing “try again” it’ll get stuck again. Anyone any idea what happened here? I would like to avoid this from happening when I’m out riding. I would hate to do the factory data reset and loose all my setting/downloads/DMD app etc, so is there anything else I can do? If the factory reset is needed, how can I reinstal the DMD2 app?

Many thanks for your help in advance! Cheers,

    Marijn

Quick update for those who encounter the same problem later on.

I received the following guidance from Thork racing:

“Unfortunately, the latest OS update encountered an issue that prevented it from being properly applied on some devices. As a result, a small number of units are unable to boot correctly.

At the moment, the only solution is to wait for the device to display the “Android Recovery” menu after a few reboots. When this happens, you’ll see two options: “Try again” or “Factory data reset.”

To navigate the menu, use the volume up/down buttons to highlight “Factory data reset,” then press the power button once to confirm. Please note that this will erase all data stored on the device, but the microSD card will remain unaffected.

After this the device will boot normally but it will be as if you were starting it for the first time.”

So with this solution you’ll unfortunately loose all your settings, but not the DMD2 app (phone will reboot to factory settings).

    Hope this helps!
