ParticipantHi,
Just purchased DMD2 to use on a Garmin Tread Overland (which I learned to hate…). Seems very promising! Love the simplicity of it all and it just seems to work.
An other app we use a lot is iOverlander 2. For every waypoint in the app, it has the option to open that waypoint in a mapping app. On my Garmin it gives me the options for Garmin Navigation and OSMand… but not for dmd2. Is this because dmd2 does not register itself as a mapping app in Android? Or is this an ioverlander issue?
the workaround would be to copy the coordinates and paste them in dmd2, but they get copied as a comma seperated list (example: -47.120597530156374,-72.76716783642769), which is not a format that I can paste easily into dmd2.
We travel full time in our Iveco 4×4 and travel all around the world. We will be using the app on a daily basis, so if you need any feedback… let me know 😉 ( instagram.com/radiobaobab )

ParticipantAs long experienced GARMIN user – and not any longer happy – I was also interested in a GARMIN Tread device. Because it’s based on Android.
But then, I have been informed it’s only a very basic Android! And GARMIN is not interested to run every “foreign” app on their device.
By this, I’m now quit with GARMIN and bought a T865-X from DMD (Thork Racing). At this device, I’m running the DMD2 App, myRouteApp, OsmAnd, LocusMap and GoogleMap parallel. Because each App has it’s unic advantages .
Now I’m happy again 😊

ParticipantHi Guzzist,
I share your sentiment fully. The garmin is very expensive for very old and slow hardware. The screen is good though and it can handle extreme heat (which most tablets can’t). I have one already, so I am hoping with dmd on it, it actually becomes useful again. I run osmand on it too, runs ok, but slow due to the hardware.
