I just fitted my new DMD2-x attached to the DMD 12mm AMPS Bracket Long SE.
The tab’s weight pulls it down despite it being as tight as the screws can go and the faces are completely closed.
Are there any tips and tricks to stop it turning on the support bar and stay up?
Maybe 1mm thick rubber pads on the clamp section would work, not sure though?
Hi Alwyn,
also the short version has the same problem.
Before the clamp can be tightened, the gap is completely closed.
I used the angle grinder to remove about 1mm from the clamp.
Now, fully tightened there`s a gap appr. 0.5 mil. And the DMD2 865X does not move, even after a road paved with cobblestones.
I made a notification to Thork via my dealer in the Netherlands.
Hopefully this will work for your long version too.

Hi Ruud
Wonderful thank you. I’ll do that next weekend. Having a full on rainy week here in Tuscany (Italy).
If the gap is not too big, I will try applying some nail polish in the clamp (in the inside part in contact with the 12mm bar). Apply some transparent or black polish on that area and let it dry well. This is probably the easier and cheaper way to solve the problem.
