What platform are you using, phone or tablet?
What app are you creating and the route in initially and then trying to edit/alter?
It may be that the DMD2 apps route/GPX editor doesn’t have the ability you’re asking about. João Pereira has stated in recent comments that they are working on new abilities of the DMD apps route planning and GPX handling, soon to be released. He has said they initially designed the DMD2 app to be only an offroad app.
But it seems folks are wanting the routing and editing capabilities they’re familiar with from other apps and platforms.
For the time being, if there’s no way to do what you want in DMD, I think I’d export your route, open it in a dedicated GPS program/editor, edit it the way you want it and then import/save that to your device. And delete the original file on the device so as not to get confused between the old and new.
Currently, the only reason I see for using the DMD route/GPX planner/editor is if you need to come up with something on-the-fly, “out in the field”, at the time.
Otherwise, everything I plan and make for routes/tracks/waypoints, whatever, is made/edited in a dedicated GPS program on my PC and imported to a file system I’ve set up on the installed SD card.
