What device are you using?
I’m thinking you have the “Record GPX” function turned on.
On the tablet, I think one of the 3 shortcut buttons at the top left is preprogramed to “Record GPX”. Could you have pressed that accidentally?
Tap on the GPX icon and check the setting there for the Record function.
