I imagine OSM built their maps from the latest GIS info and then the developers of the DMD maps used that data, then customized how they wanted the different category of highways, roads and trails to look like on their DMD map. I’m sure the colors for each are hard coded in the software.
You’d have to get access to the program at a coding level, and then with an appropriate editor, find the relevant line, change the RGB settings for the color YOU want. Seems to me that might be possible with the .APK download of the DMD software, if you have the right programing/editing tools.
I’d be happy with just having a Legend on the tablet itself that I can call up, to remind of me of what’s what when out in the field.
