Thats not how the Remote 2 is supposed to work, it seems you have a bad joystick circuit.
Blue LED -> blinking means advertising for accepting BT connection, fixed means there is a BT device connected
Red LED -> Means a cable connection was established
Since it was working before, and now it is not, and since this original post was:

-> This damages not only the joystick but probably also the tablet. It does a direct 12V to the coms connection in the remote. This basically will damage the remote exactly like what you just wrote.
Im going to say what i always say, EVERY, i mean EVERY SINGLE TIME, i see a message either on the forum or facebook about how the user decided to change the harness or connect stuff different then whats in the manual, some hours later or days later, they will complain the charging / holder / harness / tablet / whatever is no longer working….
