Hello,
I just bought a T865X Tablet and I have some questions :
What is the max size for the SD Card ? 512mb like for the T865 ?
In the box I also had a small bag with differents screws ? What are they for ?
Is it possible to connect and external SSD using the USB-C port ?
Thanks !
I know this post is almost 3 months old. A testament to how dead this forum is. But maybe a response will help someone.
Surely Ivan meant 512Gb. I’ve read recently that the 865x max SD size “has been tested” up to 1 Tb.
I didn’t receive any extra screws in my box. May have to do with Who you bought the tablet from. The sizes of the screws will give a clue as to where they go and what used for.
An external SSD will be seen by the tablet. But it may not read anything that’s already on it the first time you plug it in. In “settings” under “storage”, an SSD shows up as another drive in the list of available drives. Thing is, if it hasn’t been formatted in the file type the tablet is looking for, it may not read anything that’s already on it. Say, if it was formatted NTFS and the tablet requires FAT32 or exFAT.
I know that the tablet reads FAT32, exFat formatted SD cards inserted into the tablets SD slot, so an external SSD would need to be formatted the same, most likely exFAT. If it’s not, the tablet will want to format it before it can use it. If you allow it to do that, any data on it will be destroyed. If you’re connecting a brand new SSD, not a problem. Let the tablet format it. Then when you hook it up to a Windows PC, under “Properties” for that drive, check to see what file type the tablet formatted it to for your own info.
