I think the 2.4G WiFi will be fast enough since we were using Google on 3G networks. So the 2.4G and 4G/5G cell network combined is faster than 3G. I would test it out with Google. I have tested it with DMD2 and Kurviger and both worked okay. Just remember if the cell tower connection is spotty then the Internet will be spotty, nothing to be done about that though.
I have a very strong dislike for Google Maps at the moment. I only find it useful for finding stuff. Then I transpose the GPS coordinates into DMD2 / Kurviger for routing.
