I think you’re gonna have to get in touch with Joao or John about this. It worked first try on my setup, but I have a DMD-T665 as the receiver, just had to update to latest version and turn on notifications, then install DMDHub on the samsung and pair it.
As a test, you could try running NotifMate by Aeri-Gear, but that one requires installing it on both devices, similar to DMDHub. You can then tell it which one is receiver and which one is sender.
