@bent If you like to export routes aout of MRA-Routeplanner, please select available format GPX 1.1 (Route,Track,POI). If you like to export only a track, please select available format GPX 1.1 (Track, POI). GPX 1.2 is only needed if you use a GARMIN XT2.
Please keep in mind: if you export by format GPX 1.1 (Route,Track,POI), the file contains always everything a route, a track and POIs. If you export by format GPX 1.1 (Track,POI), the file contains only a track and the POIs.
If you load a file with format GPX 1.1 (Route,Track,POI) into DMD2 App, both will be visible on map. You should select different clours for route and track, to reduce irritation. And you will get a turn by turn navigation by the route. But may route will be calculated by DMD a little bit different as the original in MRA-Routplanner.
If you load a file with format GPX 1.1 (Track,POI) into DMD2 App, only the track is included in file and will be displayed on map. You will not get a turn by turn navigation. But the track will never be calculated by DMD, it will be always the same (that’s the sense of dealing with tracks).
I don’t know exacly your meaning of POI. We need to be more precise to be able to differenciate:
In MRA-Routeplanner, you can enter so called Shaping Points. That will force the algorithm to calculate the route exactly on this street, you have selected. But if you don’t meet exactly this point during riding/navigation, the system will guide you to the next point.
In MRA-Routeplanner, you can enter also so called Via Points. Those will force the algorithm also to calculate the route exactly on this street, you have selected. But if you don’t meet exactly this point during riding/navigation, the system will always recalculate and point you (back) exactly to this point, as long as you did not reach it!
In MRA-Routeplanner, you can additionally enter so called POI. This ones can be used in your route as Via Points too, but can also be isolated from Route (only to display a Hotel, Restaurant or Gas station beside/near the route). The system will never guide you to such points, but they are visible on the map.
If you export a route from MRA-Routeplanner as gpx file, the POI are also included and will be displayed in DMD2 App as well.
