How fast should the polling/refresh rate be for the obd2 data? I am using the Vgate Vlinker FS which was listed on the dmd2 website as the fastest Bluetooth dongle, but the refresh rate seems really slow. The rpm reading is the main thing I want to see updating quickly, especially since my bike doesn’t show it on the oem dash. It seems like it only refreshes once per second or slower and is pretty much useless for accurately tracking the rpm. Am I doing something wrong? I looked in dmd2 settings to see if there was a polling rate adjustment and didn’t find it. I’m using a google pixel 3 on my 2021 Husqvarna FE501s (US spec model).
OBD speed is not just about the dongle, theres the dongle speed, device bluetooth speed, motorcycle ECU OBD speed.
In DMD2 a value will be faster if its the only OBD value on the screen, the more simultaneous values you have the slower it becomes.
On my Tenere, using DMD dongle and the T865 tablet in the OBD view, with RPM / Voltage / Coolant Temp / Throttle Position all at the same time, my RPM updates around 2 times per second, maybe faster.
